    Opportunity Place provides persons who are homeless with outreach, case management and employment services. Offers assistance with food, clothing, hygiene items, obtaining personal identification, showers, washer, dryer, free local calls, voice mail answering service, mail-drop, counseling, and referrals to other services.

    Walk-In Hours: 1 to 5 PM, Monday through Thursday

    Appointment Hours: 9 AM to 5 PM Monday, Tuesday and Thursday;
    12 noon to 5 PM on Wednesday and from 9 AM to Noon on Friday

    Provides showers, washers, dryers, phone calls, mail drop, locker storage, and service referrals on a membership basis.

    Shower Vouchers distributed at A-SPAN food stops on Mondays and Thursdays (see Food). Shower vouchers are for free showers at Washington-Lee High School Pool (1300 N. Quincy St.) and Wakefield High School Pool (4901 S. Chesterfield), 6:15 AM-7:00 AM or 7:15 AM-8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Without voucher, $3.00 charge.

    Opportunity Place Walk-In Hours

    Free showers available at Opportunity Place during walk-in hours Monday through Thursday 1:00 to 5:00 PM, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Free towels, hygiene supplies, including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and a toothbrush are generally available. A washer and dryer is also available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
