A-SPAN has been named one of three finalists for The Washington Post 2015 Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management. The three finalists include Arlington based A-SPAN, DC based Calvary Women’s Services, and DC based Sitar Arts Center. The Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management is a program of the Center for Nonprofit Advancement and sponsored by The Washington Post. Launched in 1995, the prestigious award has sought out the most outstanding nonprofits located in the D.C. metro area.

“A-SPAN is honored to have been chosen as a finalist by The Washington Post for such a prestigious award, and I am proud the organization has been recognized for its exceptional organizational management” says Kathleen Sibert, A-SPAN President/CEO.  Sibert notes “I am honored to work with a remarkable board of directors that embraces the implementation of sustainable practices to affect change”.

The 2015 Post Award winner will receive a $20,000 grant, recognition in an advertisement in The Washington Post and a 12-month membership at the Center for Nonprofit Management.
